Wet mucking

Wet sweeping - Effective remediation of large surfaces

Wet mopping is a method of decontamination where a disinfectant or odour neutralizing agent is sprayed as a fine mist over large surfaces. Unlike dry mopping, this method involves mixing the sanitizer with water, making it particularly effective at removing tougher contaminants, bacteria and odors in open or unfurnished spaces.

Wet sweeping is often the best solution when cleaning up larger areas such as warehouses, industries, schools or other public and commercial buildings where a more robust treatment is required.

Advantages of wet jointing

  • Effective for larger areas - Suitable for open and unfurnished spaces.
  • Powerful decontamination - Effectively removes tough odors and bacteria.
  • Hygienic and safe - treats larger areas where bacteria and viruses can spread.
  • Customizable treatment - Can be used for both odor removal and disinfection.

How it works

Wet jointing is a simple and effective process that can be adapted to different needs. Here is an overview of how the treatment works.

  • Identify the source - Make sure the cause of the problem is addressed, for example by fixing moisture damage or eliminating the source of bacterial growth before grouting begins.
  • Choose the right sanitizer - For smoke odors, use a disinfectant, while for bacterial or viral problems, use a broad-spectrum disinfectant.
  • Use the right equipment - For smaller spaces, a simpler machine can be used, while larger areas require more powerful wet mopping machines, to ensure an even and effective spread of the fog.
  • Carry out the sweeping - the sanitizer is sprayed evenly over the surfaces and allowed to work for a certain time to eliminate odors, bacteria or viruses.
  • Ventilate and check the result - After the treatment, the space should be ventilated to ensure that all traces of chemicals are removed and the room is fresh. If necessary, the process can be repeated to ensure the best results.
